About the event

Who says that hiring someone with a mental health illness cannot be an asset to your company?

We want to start a dialogue, ask questions and figure out how true or false this statment is.

Let’s Walk Together is an initiative focused on livelihood opportunities for persons with mental

health conditions.

They've figued some of it out. Let's work together to understand the situation better and discover the possibilities.

Let’s Walk Together: A pan India initiative of Mental Health Support Foundation, it was launched in

August 2021. 

Diversity and inclusion at workplaces rarely extends to persons living with disabilities arising from

mental health conditions. Let’s Walk Together aims to be the bridge between organisations and

persons living with mental health conditions who seek means of livelihoods in the form of jobs,

freelance work or project-based consulting opportunities.

It has received support from stalwarts from the mental health space and noted organisations such as

Centre for Mental Health Law & Policy (CMHLP), Pune, Mariwala Health Initiative and Manorathi.

Over 50 CVs have been uploaded on the Web Portal.

Plannel:

1. Vijay Nallawala:

He is an Author and has been an entrepreneur for 3 decades. He founded probably

India’s first peer led peer support community in 2013, Bipolarindia. Another pioneering initiative,

Let’s Walk Together, was launched in 2021 with an aim to provide livelihoods to persons with

mental health conditions. Both these Initiatives are now being operated under the aegis of the non-

profit, Mental Health Support Foundation, of which he is Co-Founder & Managing Trustee.

2. Priti Sridhar:

Priti Sridhar has had a diverse career graph, she has 18 years of experience in the BFSI sector where

she has lea Business teams, been part of Corporate Banking and also has worked in the HR function

for 6 years including Head - HR. Since 2015, Priti has been with the social sector working with the

grassroots NGOs working on the issue of homelessness, women’s rights and child rights. Since 2018,

Priti has been the CEO of Mariwala Health Initiative (MHI). MHI is a personal philanthropy of Harsh

Mariwala and is a grant making and advocacy organization working on mental health. Priti is an

alumnus of TISS and XLRI and has qualifications in Finance, HR & Counselling.

3. Prasanth Nair:

Prasanth is CHRO, Crompton Greaves Consumers Electricals Ltd and is Co-Founder of Asynithis

(Business and Technology Practitioners). He is on Advisory Board of NASSCOM and ZingHR.

Prasanth is a B.Tech (Mech) Graduate and has a FPM (Fellow Program in Management) in HR from

IIM-Ahmedabad. After having spent close to 20 years in industry, out of which the last 10 was in the

role of HR Head, Prasanth has decided to pursue an entrepreneurial journey with the objective of

"making a difference" to the larger eco-system leveraging his knowledge, experience and

perspective.
